Who The Preschool Posse is
The Preschool Posse is a community for the people doing the work of early childhood: educators in the classroom, and the directors and owners running the programs around them. It was created, in their words, for the village, by the village. Members share ideas, ask questions, and learn from one another, and the organization backs that up with training, resources, and a grant program.
What stood out to us is that it is not a place to talk about early childhood in the abstract. It is a place that supports the people doing the work, which is a different and much rarer thing.
Why we joined
Growth happens when people in early childhood stop trying to figure everything out in silos. An educator working through a hard classroom dynamic and a director carrying enrollment, billing, compliance, and staffing are solving different problems, and both are usually solving them alone. A community where someone has already worked through the thing in front of you is worth more than most software.
Community over competition means recognizing that there is enough room for all of us to do meaningful work and that we are stronger when we share what we know. Collaboration does not mean we all have to do things the same way. It means we can have different approaches, different philosophies, and different businesses while still wanting the same bigger outcome: better experiences for children and families.
That is the part we wanted to stand next to. We are building Neztio with childcare providers rather than only for them, and that only works if we are in the rooms where providers are talking honestly about what is hard.
What this means for providers
Practically, the partnership gives us a way to be useful to a community we are not at the center of. A few things it opens up:

Posse members can reach the people building Neztio, not a support queue. If something is broken or missing, we want to hear it from the person it is failing.
