Developmental Assessments

Assessments give teachers a shared way to record how each child is developing, and give you progress reports families can keep. Go to Curriculum in the left sidebar and open the Assessments tab.

Turning It On

1. 1The first time, click Enable Assessments.
2. 2Choose the Assessment period cadence: Yearly, Biannual, Quarterly or Monthly. This is how often each child gets a fresh assessment. You can change it later with Change.

The Framework

Neztio ships with the Neztio Developmental Milestones framework: five domains (Cognitive, Language & Literacy, Physical & Motor, Social-Emotional, and Adaptive & Daily Living), each with its own milestones. You do not build templates.

Logging Observations

1. 1On the Milestones tab, switch to Individual Child and pick the child, or stay on All Children to see everyone's progress.
2. 2Click a milestone status to set it: Not Yet Introduced, Emerging, Developing, Meeting Expectations or Exceeding Expectations.
3. 3Add observation notes where a rating needs context. The domain shows how many milestones are met, for example 6 / 9 met.
4. 4When the period's observations are in, click Mark Complete.

Assessments are available on every plan.
