This guide covers everything you need to know about managing classrooms in Neztio: creating rooms, assigning staff, managing rosters, and handling transitions when children move between classrooms.

Classroom Configuration

  • Name: Give each classroom a descriptive name (e.g., "Caterpillars", "Pre-K Room B").
  • Capacity: Set the maximum number of children allowed based on your license.
  • Ratio: Define the required staff-to-child ratio for this age group.
  • Lead Teacher: Assign the primary teacher responsible for the room.
  • Programs: Link the room to one or more programs for enrollment routing.

Managing the Roster

The classroom roster shows all children currently assigned to the room. You can view each child's profile, attendance status, and guardian contacts directly from the roster view.

Moving Children Between Classrooms

  1. 1Open the child's profile.
  2. 2Go to the Enrollment tab.
  3. 3Click Change Classroom.
  4. 4Select the new classroom.
  5. 5The child is immediately moved and appears on the new classroom's roster.

When a child ages up into the next classroom, verify that the new room has capacity before making the move. Neztio will warn you if the move would exceed the room's limit.
