Staff Roles and Permissions

Neztio has six staff roles at a center, plus a separate Parent role for families. A role controls which parts of the admin portal a person can open and what they can change.

The Six Staff Roles

Above the center there is also a Super Admin role for organization owners who run more than one center.

• Center Admin: full access to everything at the center, including billing, settings, staff, and credential verification.
• Manager: everything a Center Admin can do except Billing and verifying credentials. Managers manage staff, schedules, PTO, payroll export, and reports.
• Lead Staff: classroom operations. Lead Staff clock in and out, see coverage, and see their own data, but do not manage other staff.
• Staff: classroom work. Staff clock in and out, see coverage, and see their own data.
• View Only: can see coverage and their own data, and cannot change anything.
• Billing only: Billing and nothing else. A bookkeeper or treasurer who works invoices, payments, credits and reports, with no access to children, classrooms, attendance, messages or staff. Billing settings and Stripe stay with the Center Admin.

What Each Role Can Do

• Manage staff, edit schedules, approve PTO, export payroll, manage credentials, generate reports: Center Admin and Manager.
• Billing (invoices, payments, credits, refunds, reports): Center Admin and Billing only. Billing settings and Stripe: Center Admin only.
• Verify credentials: Center Admin only.
• Clock in and out: Center Admin, Manager, Lead Staff, and Staff.
• View coverage and view own data: every role, including View Only.

Changing a Staff Member's Role

1. 1Go to Staff in the left sidebar and open the Directory tab.
2. 2Click the staff member's name.
3. 3In the Role section, choose the new role.
4. 4Save. The change takes effect immediately.
