Managing Guardians and Family Relationships

Guardians are the parents or legal caregivers who are authorized to receive updates, make payments, and check children in and out. Each guardian is linked to one or more children and receives their own app login.

Adding a Guardian

  1. 1Open the child's profile from the Enrollment page.
  2. 2Go to the Guardians tab.
  3. 3Click Add Guardian.
  4. 4Enter the guardian's first name, last name, email address, and phone number.
  5. 5Select the relationship type (Mother, Father, Grandparent, Legal Guardian, Other).
  6. 6Click Save.

Guardian vs. Authorized Pickup

Guardians have full app access: they can view daily activities, receive messages, make payments, and check children in and out. Authorized pickups are additional people (like a neighbor or family friend) who are approved to pick up the child but do not have app access. You manage authorized pickups separately on the child's profile.

Linking One Guardian to Multiple Children

If a family has multiple children enrolled, you can link the same guardian to each child. The guardian will see all their children in the parent app and receive updates for each one.

Always verify guardian email addresses before saving. The guardian receives an invitation email at that address to set up their app account.
