Reading Your Child's Learning Reports

A few times a year, your child's teacher completes a developmental assessment and shares a report with you. It is written by the teacher from their observations.

Opening a Report

  1. 1On Home, look for the Learning Reports card. It shows how many reports are new.
  2. 2Tap it. Each report shows the date, the teacher who prepared it, and NEEDS REVIEW or REVIEWED.
  3. 3Tap View Report to read it.
  4. 4When you have read it, tap Confirm Review. The teacher sees that you have.

What You Will See

  • Five areas: Cognitive, Language & Literacy, Physical & Motor, Social-Emotional, and Adaptive & Daily Living.
  • For each milestone, where your child is: Not Yet Introduced, Emerging, Developing, Meeting Expectations or Exceeding Expectations.
  • The teacher's observation notes.

Bring the report to your next parent-teacher conversation. Emerging and Developing are normal stages, not problems; ask the teacher what they are seeing.
