Announcements reach everyone you choose at once: families, staff or both. Use them for closures, picture day, policy changes and anything else people must read.
Sending an Announcement
- 1Go to Announcements in the left sidebar.
- 2Click New announcement.
- 3Under Send to, choose Families, Staff or Everyone. Below it you see how many people it will reach, for example This will reach 18 parents.
- 4Enter a Title, for example Snow closure, and the Message with the details people need to know. From shows the name everyone will see.
- 5Click Send announcement. You are asked to confirm, with the same count. Click Send to post it, or Keep editing to go back.
Near the limit, a counter shows how many characters you have left. If no one would receive the announcement yet, for example no families have joined the parent app, it says No one to send this to yet. and you cannot send it.
From the Teacher App
Directors and managers can also post from the Neztio teacher app on a phone or tablet, without opening the website. Open Announcements from the From your center card on Home, or from More. Tap New announcement, choose Send to, write the Title and Message, tap Send, then confirm. Teachers can read announcements in the app but not post them.
Polish with AI
Click Polish with AI to get a clearer, friendlier version of what you wrote. You see the Polished version next to yours and choose Replace or Keep original. It is on every plan, with a monthly allowance.
After Sending
The Announcements page shows your recent activity: how many were sent this week and in total. Open one to see its Author, when it was Sent, the Audience and Status. Announcements cannot be edited or recalled once sent, so read it once more before you click Send.
Send closure announcements at least a week ahead where you can. Families appreciate time to arrange alternatives.
Who Sees Them
Families: parents get a notification on their phone and find it under Updates in the parent app. They can turn announcement notifications off in their app settings, but the announcement still appears. Staff: staff get a notification in the Neztio teacher app and see it there. Everyone: both. The person who posts it is not notified.
