Parent Messaging

Neztio's built-in messaging lets staff and parents communicate directly within the platform. All conversations are organized by thread, keeping everything in one place. Messages are text-only with a 2,000 character limit per message.

Sending a Message

  1. 1Go to Messages in the left sidebar.
  2. 2Click New Message to compose a new thread.
  3. 3Select the parent or guardian you want to message.
  4. 4Type your message (up to 2,000 characters) and click Send.

Message Threads

Each conversation is a thread between you and a specific parent. New messages from either side appear in the same thread. You can view all active threads from the Messages section and filter them by time period (today, this week, earlier) or by unread status.

Search and Unread Tracking

Use the message search to find specific conversations. Neztio tracks unread counts so you always know which threads need attention. Messages sync in real time across all devices.

AI Messaging Features

On the Growth plan, AI-powered quick reply suggestions and message rewriting help you compose clear, professional responses faster.

Use messaging for day-to-day communication with individual families. For messages that need to reach everyone, use Announcements instead.

Notifications

Parents receive a push notification on their phone when you send a message. If they have email notifications enabled, they also get an email. This ensures important messages are seen quickly.

All messages are stored securely and can be referenced at any time. Neither side can delete messages, ensuring a complete communication record.
