The Activity Log supports powerful filtering so you can quickly find specific events. All filters work together and update the results in real time.
Date Range Presets
Use the segmented control at the top of the page to select a time window: Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, or Custom. The Custom option reveals date pickers where you can choose any start and end date.
Filter by Area
The Area filter lets you narrow results to a specific module: Billing, Enrollment, Attendance, Staff, Classrooms, Forms, Compliance, Messaging, Meals, Settings, or Accounts. This is useful when investigating changes in a particular part of the system.
Filter by Staff Member
Select a specific staff member from the Staff dropdown to see only their actions. This is helpful for reviewing an individual's work or investigating who made a specific change.
Filter by Action Type
The Action filter narrows results to specific action types like Created, Updated, Deleted, Archived, Status Changed, Approved, Denied, Checked In, Checked Out, and more. For example, filter by 'Deleted' to quickly audit all record deletions.
Text Search
Type a name or keyword in the search field to filter entries by target name or description. Search is case-insensitive and updates as you type with a short delay.
Combining Filters
All filters can be combined. For example, you can search for 'Charlotte' with the Area set to 'Attendance' and the date range set to 'Last 30 Days' to find all attendance events for a specific child. Active filters appear as removable pills below the filter bar. Click the X on any pill to remove it, or click Clear All to reset.
Click-to-Filter
You can also filter directly from the activity timeline. Click a module badge (like 'Billing' or 'Attendance') on any entry to filter by that area. Click a staff member's name in the expanded details to filter by that person. Click again to remove the filter.
When preparing for a licensing inspection, use the Custom date range with the Compliance area filter to pull all compliance-related activity for the review period. Then export the results to CSV.
