In this article

Billing data in Neztio lives within the Billing section itself. There is no separate billing reports page. Instead, you view invoice history, payment records, and financial health metrics directly from the Billing area and the admin dashboard.

Family Billing Overview

The Billing section shows a list of all families with their enrollment counts and primary contact. Click on any family to see their full billing details.

Invoice History

Each family's billing page includes a complete invoice history. Invoices are shown with their current status:

  • Draft: Created but not yet sent to the family.
  • Sent: Delivered to the family and awaiting payment.
  • Open: Viewed by the family but not yet paid.
  • Paid: Payment received and confirmed.
  • Overdue: Past the due date with no payment received.

Payment History

Below the invoice list, you can view all payments made by the family. This includes online payments through Stripe as well as manual payments recorded by staff (check, cash, or ACH).

Auto-Pay and Split Billing

Each family's billing page shows their auto-pay status and whether split billing is enabled. Split billing allows invoices to be divided between multiple payers, such as separated parents or subsidy agencies.

Recording Manual Payments

  1. 1Open a family's billing page.
  2. 2Click Record Payment.
  3. 3Select the payment method: check, cash, or ACH.
  4. 4Enter the amount and any notes.
  5. 5Click Save. The payment is applied to the outstanding invoice.

Financial Health on the Dashboard

The admin dashboard displays key financial metrics at a glance:

  • Total collected revenue for the current period.
  • Revenue growth compared to last month.
  • Outstanding invoices and their total value.
  • On-time payment rate across all families.

Billing Automation

Neztio can automatically generate invoices based on tuition plans. Auto-generated invoices go through a batch review step before being sent, so you can review and approve them first. A kill switch is available to pause all automated invoice generation if needed.

Check the admin dashboard weekly to monitor your on-time payment rate and outstanding invoices. This helps you identify families who may need a payment reminder.
