Tracking Allergens

Allergen management in Neztio helps you track each child's food allergies and flag potential conflicts during meal planning and service. When you plan a menu that contains an allergen matching a child in the classroom, Neztio alerts you.

Recording Allergies

1. 1Open the child's profile.
2. 2Go to the Medical tab.
3. 3Under Allergies, click Add Allergy.
4. 4Select the allergen from the list (Milk, Eggs, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Wheat, Soy, Fish, Shellfish) or enter a custom allergen.
5. 5Add any notes about the severity or specific instructions.
6. 6Click Save.

Allergen Alerts

When a food item in the day's menu contains an allergen that matches a child in the classroom, Neztio displays a warning on the meal planning page and in the classroom's daily view. Teachers see the alert before serving the meal.
