Meal menu planning in Neztio helps you organize breakfast, lunch, snack, and supper for each day of the week. If your center participates in CACFP, you can ensure each meal meets the required food component groups.
Creating a Weekly Menu
- 1Go to Meals > Menu Planning.
- 2Select the week you want to plan.
- 3Click on a meal slot (e.g., Monday Lunch).
- 4Search or browse the food library to add menu items.
- 5Assign items to CACFP component groups (Grain, Meat/Alternate, Vegetable, Fruit, Milk).
- 6Repeat for each meal and day.
Reusing Menus
You can copy a previous week's menu to use as a starting point. Click Copy Week, select the source week, and modify individual meals as needed.
Plan menus at least one week in advance. This gives your kitchen staff time to prepare and helps with grocery ordering.
