The daily timeline automatically generates a chronological view of each classroom's day. It pulls from attendance records and staff schedules to create a minute-by-minute account of who was in the room and when, giving you a clear audit trail for licensing and compliance.
How Timelines Are Generated
Neztio combines child check-in/check-out events with staff schedule assignments to build the timeline. Entries are created automatically as events occur throughout the day. You can also add manual entries for activities, transitions, or notes.
Working with Timeline Entries
- 1Navigate to the classroom view and select the Timeline tab.
- 2Select the date you want to review.
- 3Review auto-generated entries showing arrivals, departures, and staff changes.
- 4Click Add Entry to manually log an activity, meal, or transition.
- 5To edit an entry, click on it and modify the time or description.
- 6To skip an entry (mark it as not applicable), click the Skip button.
Confirming the Timeline
At the end of each day, a lead teacher or admin should review and confirm the timeline. Confirmed timelines are locked from further edits and serve as the official record for that classroom day.
Confirmed timelines are invaluable during licensing inspections. Inspectors can see exactly which staff were in each room at every point during the day.
Once a timeline is confirmed, it cannot be edited without admin approval. Make sure all entries are accurate before confirming.
