Timeline schedule templates let you predefine the recurring activities that happen in each classroom every day. Instead of manually adding entries for circle time, lunch, nap, and outdoor play, templates auto-populate these events on the daily timeline.

Creating a Template

  1. 1Go to the classroom settings and select the Timeline Templates tab.
  2. 2Click Add Template.
  3. 3Enter the activity name (e.g., Circle Time, Lunch, Nap, Outdoor Play).
  4. 4Set the default start time and duration.
  5. 5Choose which days of the week this activity recurs.
  6. 6Click Save Template.

How Templates Work

Each morning, Neztio automatically creates timeline entries from your templates for that day's scheduled activities. These entries appear as pending until a staff member confirms or modifies them. If an activity does not happen on a given day, staff can skip the entry.

Managing Templates

  • Edit a template to change the time, duration, or recurrence days.
  • Deactivate a template to stop it from generating entries without deleting it.
  • Reorder templates to control the sequence of activities on the timeline.
  • Create classroom-specific templates so each room has its own schedule.

Start with a basic set of templates for your core daily activities. You can always add more as your routines evolve. Common templates include morning greeting, free play, circle time, snack, lunch, nap, and outdoor play.
