Using the AI Assistant

The Neztio AI Assistant is a floating chat available throughout the admin portal. You can ask it operational questions in natural language and get answers grounded in your center's actual data — no need to navigate to separate reports.

Opening the assistant

  • Click the floating chat button in the bottom-right corner of any admin page.
  • Or press Cmd+J (Mac) / Ctrl+J (Windows) to open or close the assistant from the keyboard.
  • Press the same shortcut again, or click the close icon, to dismiss it. You can minimize the panel to keep it nearby while you keep working.

Plan availability

  • Starter: the assistant is not available. Upgrade to Standard or higher to unlock it.
  • Standard: general guidance about childcare operations, regulations, and how to use Neztio features.
  • Growth and Pro: everything in Standard, plus live data queries against your center — attendance, enrollment, classrooms, billing health, and staffing.

What you can ask (Growth and Pro)

  • Attendance: "Who hasn't been checked in today?" "How many children are present right now?"
  • Enrollment: "How many children are in the Butterflies room?" "What's our enrollment trend over the last 5 weeks?"
  • Billing: "How much revenue did we collect this month?" "Which families are overdue?"
  • Staffing: "What's our staff-to-child ratio in the Sunbeams room right now?"
  • Classrooms: "What are the room capacities and current child counts?"
  • Meals: "How many meals did we serve today?"
  • Trends: "How has attendance trended this week?" "How is autopay adoption?"

Limits

  • Messages are capped at 2,000 characters per turn.
  • Each session can hold up to 50 messages. After that, start a new session.
  • Sessions are retained for 30 days, then automatically removed.
  • Per-user rate limit: 10 messages per minute. If you hit it, wait a minute and try again.

Language

The assistant responds in English or Spanish based on your account's locale setting. Knowledge-base lookups also respect your locale.

The assistant only discusses childcare operations and Neztio. It cites specific numbers when it has data and declines unrelated topics.
