The coverage map gives you a real-time, visual overview of how staff are distributed across your classrooms. At a glance, you can see which rooms are fully staffed, which are understaffed, and where you need to shift people to maintain compliance.

Reading the Coverage Map

Each classroom appears as a card showing the room name, current child count, assigned staff count, and the resulting ratio. Cards are color-coded: green means the room is within ratio, yellow means it is borderline, and red means the room is over ratio.

Identifying Gaps

  • Red cards indicate rooms that need immediate staff reassignment.
  • Yellow cards are approaching their ratio limit and should be monitored.
  • Unassigned staff appear in a separate section at the bottom of the map.
  • Rooms with no staff assigned are highlighted with a warning badge.

Adjusting Assignments

  1. 1Click on a classroom card to open the assignment panel.
  2. 2Add or remove staff from the room.
  3. 3The coverage map updates in real time to reflect the change.
  4. 4Check that all rooms show green before confirming your adjustments.

Review the coverage map at the start of each day and after any staff arrival or departure. This is the fastest way to catch and fix ratio issues.
